Keeping A Journal

 Mental Health is no doubt one of the serious issues. But leaving it as it is and hoping that everything will get well soon is a foolish thing. Now here a question comes that what we can do to heal? You can go through my blogs for some ideas. in This blog we will discuss one of then which is how keeping a journal help to cure mental health.



Negative Thoughts

Now, this may seem ridiculous to some but this is a fact! Actually, we all human beings need someone to talk. we continue thinking about thousands of ideas in our minds and eventually our minds become full with these things. many of these ideas could be positive but many of them are negative as well. so these negative thoughts start intoxicating our minds and eventually our souls. We must get rid of these negative thoughts if we want a healthy mind. 

There are two ways to do this i.e focusing on good and saying all bad out. we will discuss the first one next blog.

Say out your Thoughts

Saying everything out means telling all of your negative thoughts to anyone else and this will free  your own mind from these thoughts. Ofcourse, everyone do not have a loyal friend with whom we can share your personal feelings or we might not be comfortable with that. So now what to do?  the answer is this that this anyone else need not be a person. It could be anything like a cat, your pillow or your favourite journal. 

Journal- your personal psychiatrist

Yes, your journal could be your best friend with whom you could talk and say anything you want. And the fun part is this, that it will not judge you.. All you have to do is grab a pen and sit down to write down your heart. I am super sure that you will feel alot better after this. it is like having a personal psychiatrist who is always with you. 

 Also, there are many other activities that you could do with it other than just simple writing. some of the activities are:

  1. making down a timetable
  2. write positive affirmations
  3. decorate it with highlighters and stickers
  4. keep a regular mood record
